Gurgaon -> Faridabad -> Palwal -> Mathura -> Agra -> Dholpur -> Gwalior -> Datia -> Jhansi -> Parichha.
Gurgaon(Harayana,India) and Jhansi(Utter Pradesh,India) are almost 430KM apart when travelled through road. I did a the trip in 2008 November via NH-2, NH-3 and NH-75 in 10 hours including 2 hours break taken in the way. This was an amazing trip giving many experiences to me.

Gurgaon to Agra via Faridabad Road

I with my family took off this trip on November 25th, 2008 at 5PM from Gurgaon. We went through Gurgaon-Faridabad road in my corolla. This road is too dangerous for high speed and thus we were constrained to run the vehicle below 60kmph. After travelling through the hilly and zigzag road, we faced heavy traffic of Faridabad and got few scratches over my vehicle by the grace of highly sophisticatedly trained bike riders. At 8:45pm (3 hours later), we were in Agra[approx 200km] travelling through very good four lane(NH-2) route. We tried to get a glimpse of Tajmahal but not able to do so as one can visit Tajmahal only before 8pm. Tajmahal has been heavily secured with state police and fenced with high borders from all around. we also tasted agra's panipuri. These lilliputian panipuries were too hot and expensive(6 Rs/panipuri). It made us to die for sweets. Good luck for us, Agra is famous for pethas in multiple combination of color, shape and sweetness. We took 3.5kg petha in mixed combinations costing Rs.120/kg.

Agra to Gwalior via Dholpur

We left Agra at 9:20pm for Gwalior and at 10:45pm after covering 55km, we were in Dholpur(Ancient name Dhawalgiri with major attractions as, Muchkund, Ramsagar Sanctuary, Shergarh Fort, Talab-E-Shahi, Khanpur Mahal, Shiva Temple, etc) where we took some intakes in a dhaba and continued our journey to Gwalior after half an hour(11:30pm). It took 1:00 hours to reach Gwalior city, where we roam hither and thither for few minutes and again started the journey to Jhansi.

Gwalior to Jhansi via Jaurasi

In this route we faced the most horrible scene I had ever seen. After leaving Gwalior city we reached at Jaurasi. At this place, there is a hanuman temple where every traveller of this route is supposed to pray for their safe journey since the further travel to Jhansi is by extremely unpopulated areas with bad and narrow roads[approx 14 foot wide]. After ringing the bell and bowing to the God we took some tea. We then moved further to the route. My watch was clicking at 1:00am sharp. After moving just 5-10 km from the Jaurasi, we saw a lady standing at the edge of the road on left side to us at 30-40 metres ahead. When we reached almost 10m distance she moved one step ahead towards the vehicle which was running at 80-90km/hour. Except the driver[my uncle] all were just enjoying the trip and not seriously watching her. She was in a light pink salwar and black sweater. When we reached almost 2-3 meters from her, she abruptly came in front of the vehicle and slept perpendicular to the road with bending heads and legs, facing away from us. Uncle took a full right turn with break and then left turn and then full break at almost 5 meters away from that place. We all saw then back and what we saw, that lady was safe and standing at the original place, we saw here at the beginning. We all were stunned and afraid and did n't dare to put our legs out of the car and proceeded (or say ran away) our journey further. Around 2:40 am we reached at Jhansi and finally reached to Parichha 20 km from Jhansi. There we told this incident to our family and few other neighbourhoods. All of them were sure that she was none other than a ghost because most of them have heard these kind of incidents many times. One other possible case arose as well. Since, ladies that get married in Jhansi areas from other places didn't get proper respect and so few of them try to kill themselves by doing these kind of steps. Anyway, whatever the case could be, we were safe(from her).

Parichha

Parichha is a small place which is now very famous around jhansi due to a power plant planted few years ago. The plant uses Betwa river baandh for water supply and for other requirements. The only problem in parichha is dust coming out from chimney of the power plant. The dust is in such an amount that even a human becomes darker in few days. Apart from this, everything is very nice in this bundelkhand area.
