Most of the time in our life we expect solution from some more intelligent or more experienced person known around us. Whether or not he gives us correct solution, we get inclined to his answer and keeps trying to manipulate things so that the aftermath matches with the solution proposed.

1. We don't want to scratch our head
Why we don't want to scratch? Because, we are lazy persons. In Sanskrit, a quote says, "Alasyanam manushye maha ripu.". This means, Laziness is the extreme enemy of the body(Aalasya shareer ka mahan shatru hai). Just keep the laziness to the opposite side and give a thought for the solution keeping in mind that only you can solve the issue. Most of the time, you shall crack the solution.
2. We want to reach near to them
Why to them? Why not they at you? Because, you don't have control on your emotions and stray desires. Forget the superiority and try to crack the issue. Don't follow, make followers but keep your ego away from you.
3. Everyone tries to take help from them
This is what we can say ourself as follower. Follow only when you have to. Don't believe that they know everything. Be concrete on your thinking and move ahead.
4. We believe that wheel should not be re-invented
If this is the case then, a better wheel can never be invented. We'll keep trying to just remove the issues and will never be able to think out of the box. Try to re-invent your own wheel.
5. We really don't know or even think of about the solution
Just follow the above points and even if you are at same stage. Don't waste your time and go ahead. Ask them for the solution.

Obviously, you should ask them for the solution.

Before asking anything to the other person, try to dig your mind. Most of the time you shall be able to get the result. What the peculiarity would be that the solution could be amazing. Think yourself as an highly intelligent and extraordinary and ask everything from yourself first. Believe on you and you shall never regret.
